Glass and Nature: Contemporary Glass Sculptures

Simone Crestani is a glass maker. In his works he try to combine his two big passions – glass and nature – he give his sculptures natural shapes. Simone attributes his passion for glass to what he describes as the privilege of growing up near the capital of glass world: Venice. The technique he use is called flameworking which means using a strong flame for melting and sculpting glass. Anyway, during the years of practice I have already developed his personal technique of glass blowing. The balance, the elegance and the grace make his creations completely novel.

Simone Crestani is very lucky artist as he was able to turn his passion into a real profession!
