Bara Prasilova is a photographer and artist from Prague with quite a list of awards to her name. She can create photos with a very dreamy mood gave by muted colors and often unorthodox poses.
“I started to photograph when I was 18, just after I graduated from a business oriented high school. The single idea of myself becoming an office worker was so repelling to me that I decided to become a photographer instead – despite the lack of ANY previous experience. At my 24 years of age, studying creative photography at university, I chose fashion photography because I was tired of pretending to be an artist. Apart from that I am fascinated by conspiracy theories.”
Bara enjoys complicating her job with insisting on real props and objects, sometimes made by her, which could in other cases be easily replaced by Photoshop. She frequently distorts figures of her models. Specifically with their feet positioning she is referring to her childhood ballet era. With all that said, Bara enjoys a satisfying carrier of a fashion and portrait photographer with a recognisable style. No matter if she’s working for a client or doing her own projects, she is always following her signature style.
“What I like about photography is simply that it is a field where I can mostly do what I want. I am being addressed by clients that I enjoy cooperating with. I am very lucky. However, my dreams? I keep those to myself.”“What I like about photography is simply that it is a field where I can mostly do what I want. I am being addressed by clients that I enjoy cooperating with. I am very lucky.
